Dear Sam,

many years have passed. The last time you saw me was in 1998, when I came back to Normandy, where you were used to spend your holidays with your family. It´s been more than 20 years now, but I never forgot how you and Martin were always so kind to me and the great friendship that I had with your sons Mark and Paul John. I have lost a paper agenda on which I had Mark´s contacts, but I love to be in contact with your sons again, because I have never forgotten how you all welcome a 17 years old Italian guy barely speaking English in you holidays house and all the fun we had together while teaching me how to pronounce the H or the oo. We had great dinners all together, endless nights in front of the cheminee with Mark, PJ and all the other friends, the swimmings competition in the swimming pool of Le Colombier, the waterpolo matches, the bonfires. Dear Sam, I am sure you will rest in peace. I hope you don´t mind if I leave my email here because I would love to get back in touch with your sons. My dream is to see them again, it´s ages I am thinking about it and I promise that, if we manage to meet again, we will raise a toast to your memory.
